The Fridge Locker is making a lot of noise this week because of its upcoming feature on Discovery Channel's Pitchmen but there is another reason the product should be talked about this week. It's back to school time. Yep, the Fridge Locker is going to be a smash hit on college campuses this year.
I remember the list of things I needed to bring to campus with me back in the 80's and boy I could used something like this product. I had no idea that one of the main aspects of dorm life was hunting food like a wild animal. Even today if you happen to be strolling through a dorm anywhere in the country around midnight, you'll see students on the prowl like they hadn't eaten in weeks.
The one thing I learned in College that nothing was sacred when it came to privacy or possessions. Everything is fair game, but if you are lucky enough to have a fridge locker this year, then you will definitely survive. The fridge locker is basically a cage for your food. You can safely secure your food and keep it away from coeds by simply placing it in your little mini fridge.
The fridge locker is very sturdy and almost impenetrable because of its custom combination lock. It folds up for easy storage and great portability. It can be used for more than just your refrigerator. It works great in the freezer, pantry or even out on the counter. You set the combo and only you can access your loot and it will remain safe as it chills or freezes. It will protect against sneaky roommates, varsity athletes and even that one kid who got the perfect SAT score. (every college has one) You might even lock up the twinkies to keep those weight watchers from giving in to temptation or keep the kids from unmonitored snaking.
However, you don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to be smart enough to protect your food and have it available when you need it most. Maybe its the fact that few freshman have cars and getting to the store is difficult, but there is nothing more coveted than midnight munchies. So instead of sleeping with one eye open, rest easy knowing your fridge locker is on guard.
Even if someone takes the whole thing, they will not be able to get inside. The commercial actually shows an 800lb Grizzly Bear trying to get inside with no luck. So I think the Fridge Locker is a must have for any college kid this year. Be on the lookout for the Fridge Locker in stores or buy one online and don't be surprised if a few of your friends try to make room for their stuff in your fridge locker.
